- Scan for codes, clear codes after repairs & test drive. Retrieved codes p0014 exhaust cam position system performance, p0017 crank position/exhaust cam correlation faults.
- After further diagnosis, we found the exhaust timing to be retarded-causing check engine light on and lack of power. need to remove valve cover assembly to perform further tests on valvetrain.
- Removed and replaced exhaust camshaft actuator and exhaust actuator solenoid. Replaced all gaskets and seals related to repair.
- We found the exhaust camshaft reluctor wheel to have moved on back of camshaft. Removed and replaced exhaust camshaft assembly.
